Chapter Two - The Academy
Changing The Industry Started With Changing Education
I began researching nail education across the country.
What I discovered confirmed what I was seeing firsthand. Many beauty schools lacked the resources, curriculum, specialized instructors, and industry support needed to prepare students for successful careers.
The problem wasn't a lack of talent. It was a lack of training.
I also realized beauty schools faced many of the same challenges. They struggled to find qualified nail instructors, build strong nail programs, and keep pace with the industry that was evolving faster than traditional education.
That's when it clicked.
"I realized my salon was more than just a business - it was proof that education changes lives. But if I truly wanted to transform this industry, I had to restore the foundation of training itself."
Fueled by that vision, I founded Diamond Nail Tech Academy, the only dedicated nail tech academy in New Mexico.
Today, I coach nail techs and I partner with beauty schools to strengthen their nail programs. I also provide advanced education for salon teams across the country - all with one purpose:
To raise the standard of nail education and prepare professionals for lasting success.
