My Name Is Priscilla Smith…
After graduating beauty school over a decade ago, I was so put off by two things. First, the subpar service other salons provided to their clients and by the lack of opportunity aspiring nail techs received. I decided to leave behind a 13-years worth of experience in property management for the nail industry to solve these problems.
In 2016, I opened my salon, and named it after the Portuguese word for passion. As I grew my business, I made it a point to only hire beauty school graduates to work with me. And taught them everything I knew about the business. Within 8 months Paixxão.Co was named the BEST Nail Salon In Albuquerque and has held that title since.
To our clients we provide an Elegant and Hygienic Alternative. To our team we provide life transformation through beauty.
I realized early on that many of the talented young women I hired were facing personal challenges that made it difficult for them to succeed.
I noticed that the nail industry offered a unique outlet for them to unleash their creativity and turn their lives around. Under my guidance and support, they were able to overcome their obstacles and build successful careers.
I came to the realization that my salon was not just a business, but a vehicle to empower young women and help them find their self-worth using this industry as an outlet.
For the past seven years, I have dedicated myself to mentoring dozens of beauty school grads, helping them become financially independent and creative professionals.
And now, with all the experience I have of running a successful salon business, I am changing the culture of the beauty industry by introducing the first of its kind, in the WORLD, a nonprofit salon that will help young women escape unwanted lifestyles.
